LOCUST BEANS
Locust beans is a food species recognized locally and internationally because of its importance. In this part of the clime, it is called "Iru" amongst the Yoruba, "ogiri/dadawa" by the Igbos. It is mostly popular amongst the Yorubas as a necessary condiment for certain culinary e.g. Efo riro, ofada stew, egusi soup, etc. The beauty of this species is that, it not only great as food species, but it's therapeutic ability.
