SWEET POTATOES: They belong to the family of vegetable, they are highly
concerntrated with vitamin A. vitamin A is very important in babies’
foods because, its promotes healthy development and functioning of the
eyes. Other essential vitamins and minerals found in sweet potatoes
are; vitamin C, E, K, B1, B6, and B9. They are also low in fats and
cholesterol-free.
PEARS: These are fruits that contain ample Vitamin C, fiber, healthy
fats and cholesterol-free. They help babies grow stronger and
healthier. The fiber content helps prevent constipation in babies, it
also reduces the rate of sugar absorption.
AVOCADO: This fruit is highly fortified with healthy fats, which are
vital in the growth and development of babies. It is rich in dietary
fiber thereby aiding the digestive process in babies. It contains
other vitamins like; vitamin C, E and B6 (supports the immune system
and nerves function)
BANANA: It is a fruit loaded with fiber, which are good for the health
of the babies ’heart, because it reduces the risk of cardiovascular
disease. It also eases digestion in babies. It is full of other

folate, potassium and vitamin B6. Its iron content makes it ideal for

CARROTS: These are vegetables filled with lots of vitamins and
minerals. They are good source of beta-carotene, iron, potassium,
fiber, calcium, copper, phosphorus, vitamins A, B, C and K. Carrot is
beneficial in babies because, it cures diarrhea, it promotes
digestion, improves vision, promotes smooth and healthy skin, cleanses
the body system, etc.
PLUMS: These are juicy and delicious fruits, they are great source of
vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, K, E. Essential minerals like
potassium, iron, magnesium, zinc are also found in them. They are
beneficial in babies in the following ways; aids digestion, improves
cognitive health, boosts immunity, cures influenza, etc.
GREEN BEANS: Good source of vitamins A, C and K. Contain essential
minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, iron,
phosphorus, iron and zinc. They are great means of getting protein,
folate, and omega 3 fatty acid. Green beans are beneficial to babies;
they contribute to their all-round growth and development.
APPLES: An apple a day might keep the doctor away. Apples are rich in

apples. Vitamin C are required in babies in large proportions for the
enhancement of growth and repair of tissues in their bodies. The
dietary fiber content boosts babies’ energy, keeping them full for longer.
